I was lucky enough to meet Brenda Novak at RWA San Francisco, and she’s a real doll. Every year she hosts a fundraiser to help support diabetes research. Several of my close family members, including my dad, have Type 1 (also called juvenile-onset) diabetes, so this cause is very dear to my heart.

In addition to signed copies of Crash Into Me and Dangerous to Touch, I’ve donated a critique of a proposal. A book proposal includes the first three chapters and a short summary. I’ve volunteered my time judging contest entries for RWA San Diego, and I enjoy doing it. I’m also an expert in revisions! As a former English teacher, I think I understand the value of constructive criticism.

The critique is open to all genres, but I’m definitely more qualified to judge romance. Any kind of romance you can throw at me. I’m ready. : )
